After a crazy few weeks, my patience paid off. After getting injured last week, I told myself to be patient and trust that the weight would come off eventually. I had a very short plateau last week and stalled which I think was cause by my legs being injured? I read they can swell and mess with the scale but who knows.
My legs do feel much better now and stronger too! I upped the incline on my treadmill and, while it is a bit tough to get through, is feeling almost as easy as previous ones. I pushed for an hour and almost made it 4 miles!
Bit by bit I’m getting back to my old mileage when I was fitter! What an awesome NSV and feeling! I have to keep them on my mind every time I want to give up!
This week did have some tough moments though. As the big holidays come up, there are treats showing up. I know a bunch more are coming. This week, elf donuts were in the house… 0_0
I let my kids go for them first but I did cave and have one. Then, my littlest girl couldn’t finish hers and gave it to me….thanks…. 😀
I tracked it and worked out and moved on with my day. Besides that, I did pretty MUCH better this week and lost 4 lbs! I think a bit was from last week but still. I’m so grateful!
Seeing the downward trend continue just keeps motivating me. I know more stalls will happen, and for longer, but I just have to keep fighting the weightloss journey war. Each week is a battle and the reaching the goal weight would be the end of the war? I think I heard that on 600lb life but it always stuck to me.
Overall, I’ve lost 25 lbs since summer. I’m still considered obese, but I’m getting very close to getting out of it!
I know I will get there eventually. It may feel slow, but I will get there. I am really trying to focus on this being the normal and making this a permanent lifestyle change because I do NOT want to go back to the upper end of Obese.
Well, that’s all for this week. Just getting through the holidays. It’s been one of the most stressful years for me. Being in control of my journey is helping so much with my mental health to get through this time though. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I’ll check in again next Friday!
