Week 3: A loss is a loss!

October is done! I am really happy the month finally finished with a loss instead of maintaining or, eek, even gaining. It was tough from the cravings plus candy floating around everywhere, but went well overall. The total for the month was right around 6 lbs lost. I started rough with no loss so for the last half of the month, I am happy with the number.
This week, I only lost 0.8. I’m semi-okay with it because a loss is a loss and it all adds up over time but…I wish it were more! It’s probably due to missing a few workouts. It was just so busy this week. I did walk a ton with my kids going to events. The kids offered a ton of candy to me, but I stayed strong. I had 1-2 jolly ranchers and that was about it!
For next week, I would like to lose at least 2 lbs again. I need to be a bit stricter and get my workouts in.
We did get a good hike in. It was tough. I like it though because it has a fairly good hill to the top and I can really feel the burn during it!

My 10-year-old went with me. She is a rock star! She also did the mud race with me! She said it was easy. I was huffing and puffing all the way up and she just kept saying “….when does it get hard?” LOL

I also got a nice fall walk/run in. I have noticed I am getting stronger. With both workouts, I noticed I wasn’t getting tired right away. In fact, I had energy. I kept thinking “Why am I not feeling this yet? It’s been 30 min??” So, I started throwing jogging in more and more. I know the more weight I lose, the more energy and lighter I will feel so this was a great NSV!

It was cool to see the fall leaves and it was also windy. Not too windy where it was annoying but just enough to feel like fall. I enjoyed it! Of course, once the winter cold hits, it’ll be much harder.

That’s all for this week. Starting a new month! Instead of fighting candy, this time I’ll be getting ready for Thanksgiving! I want to get through this month with another loss!

Have a great weekend!
