Week 25: A new month!

This was quite a week! Easter hit me hard. I sang Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Someone brought donuts and croissants for the band but also fruit! What a life saver. I ate a small piece of pastry and stuck with the fruit. I also handled all of the details at home with the kids as well. I was running around like crazy the entire time! There was chocolate EVERYWHERE. 🍫

I didn’t eat a TON of chocolate as I have done in the past, but I did enjoy and participate. I felt kind of bad afterward-Both physically and mentally. My stomach has been changing as I stick with my goals. It has happened before. Every time I stick with it and avoid the bad foods, it starts to tasted weird to me. Chemical kind of tastes. Of course, it is very easy for the unhealthy side of me to ignore that after taste and go back to my bad habits. I’m trying to recognize those tastes and tell myself it is not real “food”. A bit here and there is ok but not a part of normal meals or snacks.

It was pretty gorgeous out this week and since my kids were off for 2 more days, I took advantage of it. Also, hubby did overtime so instead of working out inside, I went out and explored the hills a bit! It was a wonderful break from treadmill workouts and the blooms were so pretty! I also tackled some pretty crazy hills and they hurt! The rain created a rare creek that we don’t really have in SoCal too. I love the sound of water while I walk. 🏞️

It all came together to make a good week on the scale. I lost 2.4 this week! After having a gain and low weeks, I was happy for this one! 🙏

Still a bit to go and still have weeks where I will maintain or go up. It is getting harder to lose but I’m gonna keep pushing. Also, I finally reached a new goal!

I have finally just gotten out of the obesity bmi range! Now to focus on getting the the green level and my goal weight range. Once there, I want to focus on more muscle building. Looking at the comparison, I have lost a bit of muscle as well as fat. I have never understood maintenance and always re gained the weight, so I hope this time to focus on continuing the new lifestyle while focusing on my metabolism and muscle health. I have read that they are both super helpful for maintaining and long term health. 🏋️‍♀️

Ok ok, I’ve written enough. It was just a whirlwind of a week and I’m focused on new goals. It is also a new month. May 1st I will do another progress photo and I am thinking of starting measurement tracking too. This weekend is a bit busy too. I just want a relaxing weekend but with my kids, not happening until summer probably!
