This week was a rainy week so I was a little worried about the scale. Plus, it was that lovely time of month lol. On Monday, I got outside for a cloudy workout. It was around sunset so the lights were coming on. It was cool to see the lights and motivated me to go a bit farther than I usually do.
About 30 minutes in, it started lightly sprinkling. Not too bad, I can do this. But then, it started POURING! Remember my jacket that didn’t close that I just got? Well…in my desperation, I got it to close! It’s pretty tight still but the fact that I can zip it up now when a few weeks ago it wouldn’t get close is a great NSV!
Luckily, the it was a pretty warm day even though it rained. I was actually sweating so it kind of felt nice to cool down. My shoes got wet which was irritating though. It stopped raining after 10 minutes or so and the rest of my walk was dry. I got home feeling awesome!
In the past, I would have been super negative and just gone home and given up. Now, I look at things differently. I rationalized and said if I felt really cold or off, I would go home. It wasn’t uncomfortable, so I just kept going.
The rest of the week it poured rain so I switched to indoor workouts. In the past I would have just done nothing. I am hoping I am changing my mind and can stick with this for life this time. It definitely paid off this week because now I’m down another 3 lbs!!
It’s weird how just a few months can change things so much. I was so different last summer. I had just given up. I have lost weight several times but always gain it back so I’m just trying to figure out how to lose it and keep it off this time. It’s always gonna be a fear in the back of my mind…
But I won’t ramble on too much. Just wanted to check in and keep accountable as well. This weekend is the big weekend. Christmas is here! There will be chocolate, cookies, candy, turkey dinner, lasagna, and I’m making a huge xmas breakfast for the family. OH boy….. I can do this…I can do this…
My plan is to make an attempt to track the calories throughout the weekend as hard as that may be. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your friends/family!
