Over due check in.

Like I said before, summer has been tough. We went on our anniversary vacation and I completely stopped exercising. I also ate normally. I didn’t binge, but I didn’t really restrict much either. Needless to say, the scale was up when we got home. I was bummed and didn’t feel like doing anything to get back on my journey. πŸ“ˆ

Tuesday, I was determined and forced myself out of the house for a good 4 mile walk. It felt great! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈβ€βž‘οΈπŸŒ³πŸŒΌ

However… Tuesday night, hubby came home sneezing. Guess what? Positive test…again!!! We just went through this back in February! I took a test and it was negative. Pretty sure it was false though as I have symptoms. I ended up not doing any more exercise this week. 😞

I weighed in this morning expecting the worst. I was surprised to see an almost 4 lb drop! I guess it was a lot of salt bloat from the trip. Still, I need to get back on track to finish my journey. I’m not in maintenance…yet. I bought some measuring tape finally. Going to take measurements and focus on reaching my goal weight range.

I decided not to put a strict time limit on it Every time I do that, I de-motivate myself when I don’t reach it by the goal date. I’m going to take a more relaxed approach and hope to get close to my goal weight range around the holidays. Earlier the better, like early November or late October but if I don’t make it, I won’t stress. Any loss I can achieve by then is enough of an achievement!

Here’s for being positive that the rest of the summer will go well. I can’t believe how the heat affects my workouts. I am lazier and sluggish. Our garage is not air conditioned so I am REALLY unmotivated to get in their for workouts. I have decided not to go as strong and just walk/jog lightly until the temperature goes down again. Focusing on food will be a way better way to keep my weight going down anyway.

Also, I tried spaghetti squash with a low cal diced tomato sauce this week! Almost tasted like the real thing for a fraction of the calories. It was great! Now, if there was only an easy way to make spaghetti squash, I would make it nightly!
