week 27: Frustrated

I was debating whether to write anything today. I’ll just keep it short I guess. I am up +0.4 this week. I did finish my time of the month so I was hoping for a loss after it. I hate how emotional the scale makes me and messes with my day. I’m being as real as I can to myself to be accountable so I admit that I went out and binged out of anger. I worked really hard this week. My daughter’s bday was at the trampoline park and we were sweating nonstop. But, the body does what it wants I guess. I’m glad I don’t weigh daily. If I did, I would give up easily. So, I’m just going to focus on a new week. Put the binge behind me, and start again. Gotta be as positive as possible and not beat myself up!

I got some very nice and long outdoor workouts in this week. The flowers are blooming EVERYWHERE. The neighbors are out planting more flowers too. It’s so pretty! It is a nice break from being stuck on a treadmill inside every day.

It did end up raining on my daughter’s bday. Luckily, the trampoline park is inside. A really nice rainbow came out at the end of the day. My phone could barely catch it though!

I’ve also been sticking to cooking soups at least once every 2 weeks or so. Now that the weather is getting warmer, it’s hard to crave hot soup though. I think I need to find some low Cal salad recipes for the summer. The weight loss is definitely slowing down. This happened before too. I still want to lose at least 25 more pounds though. Then, I want to focus on maintenance.

Trying to avoid fast food as an occasional treat only and focus more on “volume eating”. High protein, lower carb, and a ton of veggies. Maintenance scares me but I want to figure out something manageable and enjoyable for a long term healthy lifestyle. I also want to work on building muscle back. For now, though, I’m going to continue focusing on 1 week at a time and pushing the scale closer and closer to my goal weigh. I don’t have a goal date but I’d like to reach it sometime in fall before the holidays. Going to work on this next week. Have a great weekend!
