This was a much better week. I felt 100% better and decided after the previous 2 weeks, to challenge myself a bit. On the treadmill, I decided to try to run a 10k without walking.
Well, I managed to get to 5.5 miles at a 5.0 incline but I think the incline is slowing me down. It took me 1 hour and 40 minutes! I got really tired and slowed down near the end too. At my current weight and exercise level, I’m definitely not ready for a 10k.
A friend of mine wants to do a 5k near the end of this month so I’m trying to train a bit for it. It’s not for sure that I will do it, but I would like to. Still, my level has really increased since September. I used to go at a 1.0 incline and at a walking speed only. Now, I am full on jogging without needing to walk at all!
This week I got to get out of the house again and got to see some pink sunrises! Very pretty! It did rain yesterday though. I ended up working out in my “garage gym” instead. Next week, it is supposed to rain at least 3 days. That is a huge bummer for me! But, I’ll do my best to adapt and workout indoors instead. The hardest part is just getting started. Especially indoors because it sounds so boring to me.
This week I am down another 2 lbs exactly! I wanted more, but I always want more. I’m trying to be grateful for every loss I can get. It adds up…it adds up.
I’m getting closer to my next major goal. 12 more lbs down, and I will officially be out of the obese range and just be in the “overweight” range. I am currently at my lowest weight in over 3 years, so I’m celebrating a bit for that. Tomorrow, we are taking the kids back to the trampoline place so I will try to burn a bunch of “fun” calories doing that!
I also recently took a progress photo.
Before September 1st
After February 1st
I didn’t realize I never smile in my photos. Oops! I feel like I haven’t changed much but I can see the difference so far. I feel lighter and more energetic every day. I will take another progress photo in 2 to 3 months. I can’t decide how long to wait.
Until next week! Have a great weekend!
