What a week. It’s been rough for almost a month now to be honest. Last month I got the big C. Then, right when I felt better and was doing well again, I got a nasty chest infection. Very certain I got it at the trampoline park. It was packed with kids and adults. I heard coughing and didn’t even think of it.
This cough has lasted over 2 weeks now. I did end up going to urgent care and then the ER last week. They said it was not rsv and took an x-ray. Luckily it was clear so probably just a chest infection. I thought they would tell me Bronchitis but they didn’t. I have never had anything like this before, it’s pretty awful. I’m always coughing and had a low grade fever a couple times. Tired and almost no appetite. I read that having covid and then a flu right after can become long term like this as immunity goes down. I’m hoping that’s all it is and not pneumonia or something. Wouldn’t that show up on an x-ray?
Despite all of this, I am still losing weight. I have been surviving on crackers, soup, and lots of tea. I was too chicken to weigh last week because of my time of the month, but this week went ok.
I am SO close to getting out of the obese range! Just a few more pounds! Being sick has kind of made me depressed but I’m still acknowledging my journey to try to get my motivation up. Small rant: Hubby has been unbearable. He brings me tea and cough drops which I appreciate, but he is annoyed at how long I’ve been sick. He gives me attitude daily and I think he thinks I’m faking. He was angry yesterday that I didn’t mop. I had zero energy. Every time I try to move too much, I cough! I love the guy, but he can be very insensitive.
Ok. End rant.
Some nice news, I got myself some new workout pants! I usually wear XL, but decided to try a Large.
They are a bit snug on my waist because all of my excess weight is there, but every other part fits like a dream! Plus, they have big pockets! If I could just get rid of this cough, I can try them out and go for a walk! Man, I miss my walks!
As for my weigh in, I lost 3 lbs. If I split it over 2 weeks that’s a 1.5 average. I’ll take it. I have barely moved my body over the last 2 weeks. I was worried about a gain!
That’s all for this week. I feel like I’m better, but can’t shake the cough and congestion. The dr. said no activity until the cough stops. I am going crazy though. I really want to try a light walk tomorrow, but not sure it will happen. ah well. This is a test for incorporating and maintaining for life. There will always be times where hardship, stress, a big move, or something happens. Gotta figure out how to adapt, stay healthy, and atleast maintain when these things happen.
Hope you are doing well, have a wonderful weekend!
