So my strong start wasn’t as strong as I thought. It was kind of a rough week. The family has been on vacation and it has been hard to get my workouts in. We did get a couple family walks squeezed in. I love going with them but it is harder to get a long one or jog as much when I’m keeping an eye on the kids
I managed to get a couple good morning workouts in too:
It rained a little bit but wasn’t too bad. The clouds were so pretty! I wanted to go and do the hill of doom this week but I started feeling a strange twinge in my throat and stuffy nose. I decided to stay local but felt so guilty because the kids are off from school. This is the time to get out for some nice long workouts. But, things don’t always go as planned.
I ended up getting sick on Tuesday. I was sick Tuesday through today. I am finally feeling better but man, it wiped out most of my workouts. I managed to get one final workout on Wednesday morning but it was tough. I kind of regret it. But even though, I managed to lose 1.4 lb this week! Somehow…lol. I probably would have lost more if I hadn’t been sick though. But, I’m glad I listened to my body and rested
I was completely expecting a gain, so this is a nice surprise. Even if I had gained, I would have gone easy on myself. It was a rough start to the New year!
I only got 38 miles this month compared to November. But google only tracks my outdoor walking and it rained a lot more so I know I got some more mileage on the treadmill.
Just gonna end this with a goal check in. It’s nice to see that I’m already 40% there. Almost half way! I’m happy with that. I might re-access later on. I’m only 5’1 so the 130s are still considered higher for me but I remember last time I got to my goal, the 120s were painful to maintain at. We’ll see I guess.
I just want to be in the normal weight range and be able to maintain. I’d rather maintain my weight happily and permanently than to suffer at a lower weight and end up gaining back….again… Thanks for reading! Hope you all had a great New years!
