Back to normal, bit by bit to hit goals!

Check in time: The holidays are officially over and the kids are back in school. I was a bit sad at first, but am glad all the goodies are gone. Now I can really focus on my journey! I have been listening to health podcasts and weight loss videos on youtube while I workout or clean the house. It really helps motivate me. I have realized I failed in the past because I set really high goals and expect to meet them way to fast!

Taking it slow and steady and not pressuring myself too much seems to be working well. I am focusing on each week and if I don’t lose too much, just confronting the sad or mad emotions and focusing on making the next week better. Even though I have a ways to go, I’m just gonna keep going and enjoying the journey as it goes and not rushing time to pass.

This week, the temperature dropped. It was cold, windy, and there was ice all on the houses and cars. I still got out for a few good walks before the kids went back to school.

On the last day of break, we went to a trampoline park nearby. Man…that was a surprisingly good workout! I just went to play with my kids. I had passes and thought I might as well use them and join them to play.

Last year, there were a few parties there. I was too terrified to jump with the kids so I sat out. It was a cool nsv to be able to join them. I got tired FAST. I could feel the burn right away! We had so much fun though! The time zipped by! I want to go back again, although it is kind of pricey.

This week, I lost 1.8

I’m happy with that number considering I skipped last Saturdays workout. I was still recovering from my cough. I hope to get another hike in soon.

That’s all for my check in. Have a great weekend!
