Week 24: Enjoying spring break!

It’s holiday week now! The kids stayed home from school and I enjoyed every bit. I may have overdid it a bit though. I’m just so happy to be feeling so much better. I went to visit my favorite area to walk and conquered all the steep hills I could find! On top of that, the kids asked me to go jumping several days. I joined in and man am I tired after that!

The ducks are back! I haven’t seen them since last summer!

Yesterday I was pretty sore, so I did a shorter workout and got to see my duck friends. I doubt the are the same ones from last year but they always hang out in this area of the neighborhood. No other ducks do, so it’s possible they are just back for spring. I am considering bringing some crackers in case I see them again. The mornings have been pretty chilly this week but it is so pretty out. Flowers are blooming everywhere!

I enjoyed the views, blossoms and all. The kids go back next Wednesday so you bet I am going to get out there again Monday and Tuesday. The best part is I have been able to sleep in a bit so it’s not dark when I go!

Now, the busy weekend is here. I will be singing tonight, Saturday night, and Sunday night. Part of me wishes I hadn’t committed to so much because I’m also cooking most of the meals this weekend and it’s stressing me out. But I’ll get through it. I weighed in this morning. It was ok, but I wanted a bigger number. -1.8, after all the activity I was hoping for 3 lbs but I’m happy it’s a new low at least. I’m worried I’m starting to plateau and maintain already. I’m just about half way to my goal and still have more to lose. It’s gonna get harder and harder to lose as my weight gets lower too so….I’m nervous.

Last weekend there was another food event for the holiday and this weekend will be tough as well. I am just gonna focus as much as I can and think of my next mini goal. Hubby says I am fine already and should focus on building muscle to help my metabolism. I am torn because I don’t think I’m done. I just want to get to the healthy weight range for my height, but I know muscle plays a big part in things too, especially loose skin. My skin is very stretched out. I know this from the last time I was at goal. I don’t let it bother me but I wonder if muscle growth would help?

Anyway, that’s enough rambling. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!
