Week 2 check-in

2nd week of being fully on track again. It took a lot longer to get in control though. Mid-summer I was fed up and trying but kept yo yo gaining and losing which is ok for maintaining but I need to get my weight down over time.
This week ended up being even better than last week! I was so worried because we had a birthday party at Chuck E cheese for a friend and it was tough
.

I knew it would be all pizza, so I went ahead and bought a salad bar. There was a bunch of high-calorie dressings, bacon, and toppings that I avoided too. It was pretty tough because I’m used to just getting what I want. But, I stuck to the low-cal dressing, spinach, lettuce, and as many veggie toppings as I wanted.
Later, the cake showed up and a plate was placed in front of me. I did cave and eat it. My kids didn’t finish theirs as usual. However, instead of eating theirs to not waste food, I just threw them away. I felt bad wasting it but I thought about the scale and what I wanted to achieve.

I worked hard this week. Got my workouts in as well. I am trying to get 3 miles in 50-60 minutes. The first goal is 60 minutes. Currently at 70 ugh. It all paid off though, because I lost 2.5 lbs this week! I am super happy with that because this week was that time of the month for me. So, definitely good with the number.

went to the park with the kids as well and made sure to get as much activity in as possible. I pushed the kids on the swings and that was quite the arm workout! We also visited the sleeping geese.
Sorry if I wrote a lot but I’m just happy. I want to bottle this feeling and keep it for all the bad weeks out there.
Have a great weekend!
