I thought a good next step in my journey would be to figure out some small and big goals to try and get me focused again. Over the past 2 months, I have tried (and failed) several times to get back on track. This is because I haven’t been as structured lately. I used to write about my journey every day when I got to my lowest weight and last year at least 1-2 times per week and I was consistently losing on the scale…even slowly.
I eventually quit writing when my progress slowed down and I felt like, ‘What’s the point? No one even reads these and if they do, they don’t care.”
This is a very pessimistic way to view things. So what? If it works, do it for yourself! So, I’m going to have “homework”. I’m going to strive for the 1-2 times per week again and maybe get into 30-day posting challenges!
I also have been playing around with the idea of joining youtube or doing some audio-type videos, similar to blogging but more like podcasts….but not as official. Just for the journey. I’m too introverted to make actual vlog journeys like others I have seen on youtube.
Yesterday we threw a party and got lots of swimming in. I am pretty out of shape now and hope to get my fitness back soon.
This morning, I got outside and took a walk. I can’t believe how slow I’ve become. I am going to work on it. I’m taking another walk soon before dinner and will work out with my husband in the garage daily.
As far as goals, I’m not sure. I’m trying to think of nonfood rewards I can set up for every time I lose 2-5 pounds and then bigger rewards for larger goals. I’ll look into it and create a better list later. For now, this is what I have

goal weight: 3-day trip?
For the smaller amounts, I’m not sure how to celebrate them yet. I’m still thinking. But just writing things out helps get me motivated to go for it!
