lose some maintain some holiday challenge

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written a post. I went into a bad plateau after my birthday and injuring my toe. It was sprained, maybe even broken, after I slammed the door on it. It took weeks to heal and I took a break from working out. I did focus on eating and that really helped me to not gain weight back. However, I haven’t lost weight for almost 2 months now. I healed weeks ago but just couldn’t get back to getting the scale to go down.

So, I’ve decided to start a new challenge to get me back into it! The lose some maintain some challenge. I’m still following the same goal list and still stuck on the same goal I was heading towards in the last post. Ideally, I want to lose 15 pounds through January 1st. However, the holidays are TOUGH. I have, in the past, gained over 10 lbs during the holiday season. So, this challenge is primarily focused on maintaining -BUT- pushing for weight loss as well.

This month, I am going to do my best to avoid the candy that’s everywhere!

Next month…..bingegiving lol.

Then, the big one, Christmas!

I want to get to New years at a deficit, no matter how small! I’ll be happy with whatever I can get! Still getting out there and taking walks. These walks have really saved me and kept me from gaining uncontrollably.

I am fighting my past of being a yo yo dieter and doing my best to finally reach my goal weight…and stay there -FOR GOOD! So, instead of waiting for the holidays to pass and then start a diet…like I usually do, I’m starting up now!
